Random ramblings from Crested Butte, Colorado by a 20+ year transplanted photographer/business owner/planning commissioner/teacher/etc.
I have lived in Crested Butte since Halloween Day 1987. Owner of Color West Photography photo lab from arrival until October 2004 when I put it out of its misery. I’ve always done photography (since high school) and probably always will unless I go blind which would tend to make it difficult.
Currently, family portrait, wedding, fine art landscape and a little news feature photography keep me in groceries and my spare time is occupied by hanging out with friends, other photographers and riding herd over the Mount Crested Butte Planning Commission as its Chairman. Occasional business consulting in sales and marketing tend to round-out my life. While it’s seems that I am a “freelance everything” at times, it’s taken years to achieve the level of satisfaction and contentment I find right now. It’s a wonderful life!
